Willmer Albert Buetow

Willmer Albert Buetow was born June 18, 1921 to Albert and Esther (Buth) Buetow in Redwood County near Lamberton, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Lamberton. On March 18, 1940 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Stein in Estherville, IA. The couple farmed northwest of Lamberton and moved into town in 1985. The couple was blessed with 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Willmer also worked for Orvis Wahl, Sackett Implement, and Meadowland Farmers Co-op. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and volunteering. Willmer was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and served on various church boards. Willmer died on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, MN. He is survived by his children - Maynard (Dee) Buetow of Burnsville, Diane (Gary) Graff of Lamberton, Judith (Dennis) Wambeke of Minneota; 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sister Irene (Rueben) Dommer of Palos Hills, IL; and half sisters - Joyce (Richard) Cooks of Morton and Alvina (Larry) Moyars of Tracy. Willmer was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy on January 4, 2017; daughter Donna Cambronne; granddaughter Connie Graff Irlbeck; 2 grandsons in infancy - Matthew Wambeke and baby Cambronne; brothers - Arthur (Harriet) Buetow, Raymond (Laurie) Buetow, and Harry (Noreen) Buetow; sisters - Florence (Les) Perleberg and Lenora (Walt) Theis; and half brother Myron Buetow.
