William Weber

November 8, 1924 — October 28, 2012

William Bud Weber was born November 8, 1924, to William and Gladys (Severson) Weber in Glencoe, MN. At a young age the Weber''s moved to Springfield, MN where Bud attended a country school in North Star Township. In 1943, he left school to join the army where he served with the 25th Infantry Tropic Lightning Cacti Unit. In March of 1945 he was severely wounded on the island of Luzon, Philippians. He met the love of his life and married Evelyn Marie Reiner on June 17, 1946. Bud and Evie began their life farming in Bashaw Township where they tilled the soil, milked cows and raised their family of 10 children. Bud and Evie''s life is a true love story of two soul mates working together. Bud taught all of us that To be who you are is to be enough; To do what you love is to do enough; There is no race to be won and nothing to prove, only dreams to be nurtured, a self to be expressed, and love to be shared. Never doubt your worth, and always know, without any doubt, that you are truly valued. Thank you husband, dad, grandpa - our hearts are full of you! Bud helped teach aviation at the CRTC in Springfield, was a member of the Catholic Aid Society, American Legion Post 257 and Purple Heart Society. His hobbies included painting, photography, wood carving, and flying. He built his own plane, the ''Tailwind'', which he flew and enjoyed with family and friends from many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed anything relating to American history.
