William Olson

William Lee "Willie" Olson was born in Holstein, Iowa, on August 16, 1947, he was the son of Ralph and Bernice (Petersen) Olson. As a young boy he moved, with his family, to the Trimont area where he attended Trimont High School. Willie enlisted in the United State Navy and served from 1965 until 1969. He returned to St. James where he worked for many years at Olson Engineering. He later worked at Tony Downs Foods in Madelia where he retired from in 2013. Willie enjoyed playing golf, meeting friends at the VFW, was a Vikings and loved to play computer games. Willie is survived by his brothers and sister, Curtis Sandra Olson of St. James, Tom Denise Olson of St. James, Chuck Linda Wilkinson of Western Grove, AR, Sharon Rodriquez of St. James and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers and sisters, Orin, Gerald, Betty Sanns and Beverly Olson.
