William Nelson

Bill was born April 13, 1940 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Alfred Laura (Remiger) Nelson. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye in 1958. He married Lois Mickelson on October 1, 1964 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Bill was a member of the New Ulm National Guard for six years. He farmed in Prairieville Township all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and the Catholic Aid Association. Bill especially enjoyed farming with his son, Gary. Bill is survived by his wife, Lois, son, Gary daughter-in-law to be, Deanna Hirsch, all of Sleepy Eye. Other survivors include his twin brother, Bob wife Verena Nelson, brother, Chuck wife Patricia Nelson, all of Sleepy Eye; sisters-in-law, Verna Suess, Della Schieffert and Betty Mickelson and brother-in-law, Wesley Mickelson, all of Sleepy Eye. He was preceded in death by his parents.
