William '"Fritz"' Lassas

William Joseph "Fritz" Lassas was born in Madelia, MN to William and Eva Lassas on May 7, 1934. He attended grade school at Country School 29 and then on to graduate from Madelia High School in 1952. He was united in marriage to Grace Thomas on November 14, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Fritz started farming as soon as he finished school and continued until his retirement in 2002. Following his retirement, he drove semi-truck for Ag. Reliance. Fritz enjoyed hobbies such as golf, hunting, fishing and bowling and was involved in the Riverdale Township Board for many years. Fritz is survived by his wife, Grace Lassas; children, Greg (Lisa Fredrickson) Lassas, Kevin (Beth) Lassas, Denise (Glenn) Hoppe, Mike (Lisa) Lassas, Nathan Lassas; sister, Mary (Bob) Lindstrom; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchilden. He was preceded in death by his parents; Eva and William Sr., his brother, Matthew and son, Stephen.
