Wilbert Fischer

Wilbert Otto Fischer was born March 27, 1927 on the family farm in Stark Twp, Brown Co., MN to parents Frank and Clara (Bruckbauer) Fischer. Wilbert grew up and attend country school in Stark Twp. He served in the Army fro April 1951 until March 1953. On October 22, 1953, Wilbert was united in marriage to Theresia Rosenstengel at Leavenworth, MN. The couple made their home near Evan and Sanborn before moving to St. James in 1957. Wilbert spent his life farming. He raised dairy cattle, livestock and grain over the years. He and Theresia enjoyed concertina, square dancing and old time dance. Wilbert was a member of the Pork Producers and on the Board of Directors of Tri County Coop of Darfur. Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Brianna Bryan, 2 brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife Theresia Fischer of St. James, children and their spouses Kevin and Monica Fischer of St. James, Galen and Roxanne Fischer of St. James, Renee and Wade Bryan of Hutchinson, Rick and Carol Fischer of St. James, Craig Fischer of St. James and frien Rose Schuck of Young America, brothers and sisters and their spouses Veronica Simon of Willmar, Herbert and Irene Fischer of Sleepy Eye, Arthur Fischer of Elrosa, Sylvester and Lavon Fischer of Lafayette, Benjamin and Genny Fischer of Sleepy Eye, Rosemary and Hilary Tauer of Windom, Olivia and Howard Binder of Gibbon, nine grandchildren Jason, Aaron, Teri, Jeff, Joe, Stacy, Amanda Fischer and Dustin and Katie Bryan.
