Wesley Krahn, age 92, of Mountain Lake, died January 21, 2024, at Sunset Cottage Hospice House in Worthington.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Kimball Township, Jackson County at a later date.

Wes was born November 29, 1931, to George and Anna (Friesen) Krahn in Mountain Lake. He graduated from Mountain Lake High School in 1950 and earned his bachelors degree at Mankato State University. On July 16, 1960, Wes married Ardis Harries at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township. Together, they raised two daughters, Colleen and Kim.
Wes grew up in Mountain Lake and in 1960 he and Ardis moved to Windom where he worked for Schweitzer Kimberly Clark Flax Plant until its closure in 1985. He continued to work for Schweitzer relocating to other areas including Grand Forks, Fargo, and Canada eventually retiring in 1993. They lived many years in LaPorte and Clear Lake, Minnesota and wintered for 31 years in Apache Junction, Arizona. In 2021, Wes and Ardis moved back to their hometown of Mountain Lake to be closer to family.
In his free time, Wes enjoyed all sports, played baseball, softball, bowling, and golf. He was also an avid cribbage and shuffleboard player in Arizona. He also found joy in living on the lake, fishing, campfires, traveling to Alaska and many other states. No matter where Wes lived, he made a point to find a favorite hangout, get to know the locals and make new friends. He also enjoyed it when friends and relatives would come to visit. He was very willing to go on an adventure with you.
Wes is survived by his wife, Ardis; daughters, Colleen Cosgriff and Kim (Curt) Peterson; grandchildren, Benjamin (Krystal) Cosgriff, Joseph Cosgriff and Lucas (Kristen) Cosgriff; five great grandchildren; and two brothers, Willis (Marlene) Krahn and George W. Krahn; and many nieces and nephews.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna; son-in-law, Terry Cosgriff; sister, Viola Colby; brother, Walter Krahn; brother-in-law, Walter Colby; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Donna Krahn and nephew, Mike Colby.
