Wayne Gohr

Wayne H. Gohr, age 47, of rural Mountain Lake died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at his home. Visitation is 4-8 PM Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Sturm Funeral Home in Mt. Lake and resumes at church, one hour before the funeral. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township, Jackson County, rural Alpha, Reverend Rick Bremseth officiating. The interment is in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Elizabeth Gohr scholarship fund at United Prairie Bank in Mountain Lake. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mt. Lake, MN. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.sturmfh.com Wayne Harlan Gohr was born on February 19, 1965 in Mountain Lake to Harlan and Mayvis (Linn) Gohr. He was baptized on March 14, 1965 and confirmed on April 6, 1979. A Class of '83 graduate of Mountain Lake Public High School, Wayne attended Canby Technical College before coming home to farm with his family. On August 16, 1997, he married Tiffany Moffitt at St Olaf Church in rural Odin. They were blessed with a daughter. He was active in his church and enjoyed farming, fishing, and racing cars. Wayne is survived by his wife, Tiffany and daughter, Elizabeth, mother, Mayvis Gohr, Mt. Lake, sisters: JoAnn (Jerry) Haugen, rural Odin, Denise Haldeman and Marlene (Jim) Wolff , all of Mt. Lake, Lori (Tony) Molitor, Big Lake, and Jolene (Mike) Munning, Mt. Lake, parents-in-law, Bob and Lonnie (Hartjen) Moffitt, Welcome, brother-in-law, Jon Moffitt (special friend Katie Walsh), Jordan, grandmothers-in-law, Helen Hartjen, Welcome, and Lorraine Smith, Jackson, aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan, maternal grandparents, Joel and Helen Linn, paternal grandparents, Edwin and Dora Gohr, and other relatives.
