Wayne Donald Anderson passed away on June 7, 2026, at his home in New Richmond, Wisconsin. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at East Sveadahl Lutheran Church in Saint James, MN. A visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will take place at East Sveadahl Lutheran Cemetery in Saint James. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.Wayne was born on March 10, 1947, in St. James, Minnesota, Wayne graduated from St. James High School before pursuing higher education at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he earned a degree in mathematics and minored in religion.
Wayne was known for his selflessness and kind spirit, always willing to lend a hand. His candid nature and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He married the love of his life, Prudy Neuman, on November 23, 1968, and together they built a loving family that remained the center of his world. Wayne had a long and fulfilling career at 3M, where he forged lasting friendships and was admired for his dedication and work ethic.
Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends, but it was his love for cars that was his true passion. He was often found working on vehicles and attending car shows. In his younger years, Wayne and Prudy enjoyed country dancing and traveled around the world together. He was known for his willingness to help people, whether it was car repairs or snow plowing.
Wayne is survived by his wife Prudy; children, Kristin (Donald) Hufnagle, Stacey (Shawn) Martin, and David Anderson; grandchildren, Benjamin Hufnagle, Holly Hufnagle, Greta Westrum, Nathan Anderson, Ellie Anderson; step-grandchildren, Breyden Martin and Ella Martin; brother, Dean Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Loretta (Schwanz) Anderson.
