Warner W. Kading, age 74, of St. James died on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the St. James Medical Center in St. James. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Augustana Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society. Warner William Kading was born June 21, 1934 at St. James, MN, to parents William Aurora (Warner) Kading. Warner grew up in St. James where he attended school, graduating from St. James High School in 1952. He worked at Scherr-Tumico from 1952 until 1973, as a toolmaker and tool engineer. He served in the US Army from April 1956 until April 1959. In 1970, he married Meredith McGlynn, and her 4 children. They were married until 1978. He went to work for Toro Co. in Windom in 1973, as a tool engineer and retired from there in 1996. His hobbies included wood working, golf, fishing, hunting, gardening, computer, good music anything fun. He was a life long member of Augustana Lutheran Church where he was involved in many things over the years. He loved doing for others, but many knew only of the hard driving side. That side was job related and over shadowed the soft side. He leaves behind a very special step-daughter her husband Laura Tom Patterson of New Ulm. Many close friends and distant relatives.
