September 14, 1916 — November 6, 2010

Vivian Caroline (Sheker) Wall, 94, died on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, North Dakota. She had been living in Fargo with her daughter Eunice, as well as with her daughter Rebecca near Minneapolis, for three years. Vivian was born in Alpha, Minnesota on September 14, 1916, to Frank and Lyda Sheker. She graduated from high school in Jackson, Minnesota in 1935. In Minneapolis, she attended business school, graduated from the Lutheran Bible Institute in 1943, and served as a parish worker. Vivian married Clarence Wall on November 24, 1945, and they lived on the Wall homestead farm for over forty-seven years. After Clarence's death, she moved to St. James where she lived until 2007. Vivian is survived by one son, Kenneth (Sonja) of Wilbraham, Massachusetts; three daughters, Eunice (Don) Berge of Fargo, North Dakota; Janet (Mark) Norell of St. James, Minnesota; and Rebecca (Jerry) Moan of Corcoran, Minnesota; ten grandchildren, Andrew Wall; Elizabeth and Paul Berge; Luke and Louis Norell; Jesse, Jonathan, Seth, Stephen, and Micah Moan; one sister-in-law, Margaret Wall, as well as nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, her husband Clarence in 1993, her son Allan in 1970, and her grandson Peter Wall in 2004. Vivian was a charter member of Hosanna Free Lutheran Church in St. James, Minnesota. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior from the time she was a young girl and claimed Isaiah 61:10 as her testimony: I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness. Vivian leaves her family with a rich Christian heritage.
