Vivian Olson

Vivian Lois Wolle was born in St. James on November 4, 1940 to parents Julius and Ruth (Swenson) Wolle. She grew up in St. James graduating from St. James High School in 1959. She married Vincent Olson on September 19, 1970. Vivian loved to cook, she worked at several restaurants in the area including running Viv's Place in St. James. After Vincent's death in 1991 she moved to Glenwood in 1993 where did volunteered her time at the Senior Center and worked at Central Square. She moved back to St. James in 2004. Vivian enjoyed old time music, playing cards, and watching wrestling and rodeo on TV. She loved spending time with her family and the Wednesday cruises with her sisters. Vivian Olson passed away at her home on Saturday, December 16, 2006, she was 66 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother David. Vivian is survived by her step-children, Curt and Lois Olson of St. James, Sharon and Ron Sturm of Springfield, step-mother, Lillian of St. James, sisters, Gloria Thulien, Vicki Janzen and Marion Read all of St. James, a brother Wayne and Cheryl Wolle of Welcome, 7 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.
