Virginia 'Jeanne' Hansen

Jeanne was born in Sisseton, S.D. on November 9, 1929 to Charles and Edna (Ellis) Picker. She is the youngest of six girls. She moved to Mayer, MN and graduated from Waconia high school in 1947 and then went on to doing secretarial work for Cargill. She married H. Hooch Hansen at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN on May 19, 1953. She entrusted her family to the Lord including her daughters, Lori Hansen, Karin Meriwether and Mary Sue Hansen, and sons, Stephen C. Hansen and Tom Hansen. Jeanne was first and foremost, a humble servant for the Lord. She was a loving, steadfast and loyal wife, mother and mother in-law, and a sweet and tender grandmother of ten grandchildren and four (and one on the way) great grandchildren. She was nurturing to her loved ones and strangers alike; physically and spiritually. Everything she created was made with love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but all who knew her understood she will remain with us in Spirit and will serve as our angel and intercessory in heaven. Jeanne was a member of the Catholic church and Catholic Aid Society.
