Violet Pingeon

Violet 'Pat' Pingeon was born January 1, 1927, in Waterbury Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Leo and Rose (Frank) Nachtmann. She was united in marriage to Donald Pingeon on November 1, 1950, in Lamberton. Pat spent most of her life in the Lamberton area and was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bingo, embroidery, playing cards - especially pinochle, and making trips to the casino. Pat especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Violet 'Pat' Pingeon died Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 80 years. Pat is survived by son- Delbert and wife Kay Pingeon of Springfield; daughters- Marlys and husband Tom Jenniges of Lamberton, Robin and husband Alan Groebner of Springfield, and Elaine 'Tuda' and husband Dean Beermann of Lamberton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters- Lorraine and husband Glen Pieske of Lamberton, Jeanette McManigal of Sioux City, IA, and Ruth Ann and husband Gary Miller of Decorah, IA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Donald in 1984; brother- Gene Nachtmann; and sister- Delores Frank.
