Viola Evelyn Noren

Viola Evelyn (Lange) Noren was born August 1, 1931 in rural St. James. Viola was the daughter of Ed & Stella (Knickrehm) Lange. She attended country school and graduated from St. James High School. Following graduation she worked for Minneapolis Moline and then in later years Tony Downs Foods in St. James and Madelia. Viola married Harold Noren December 2, 1950. They had three children, Jerry, Dwayne and Ronald. She was active at East Sveadahl Church. She was an excellent homemaker, painter and gardener. She also played in numerous dance bands for many years. She & Harold enjoyed many years of camping and travelling together. Viola passed away October 4, 2018 at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia. Viola is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harold and her children; Jerry (Lynette) Noren of St. James, Dwayne (Cathy) Noren of Plymouth, daughter-in-law Angie Noren of St. James, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Kylee (Paul) OMalley and their children Landon and Patrick, Jarah (Brandon) Hagen, Andrea (Jake) Rubischko, Sean (Kerry) Noren and their children, Mason, Ava, and Noah, Dareth (Nick) Herman and their children, Brayden and Camden, Jamie (Buddy) Seiner and their children, Lilly, Mya and Grayson, Krista (Ryan) Gellert and their children, Lincoln and Asher, Steven Noren. She is preceded in death by her son Ronald, parents, 2 brothers and a sister. Viola loved her family and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed a birthday or anniversary and was always conscious of sending cards for every occasion. She will be missed and remembered by her family and friends.
