Viola Krueger

Viola "Olie" Krueger was born on June 23, 1926, the daughter of Lawrence and Anna (Saffert) Weiss near Sleepy Eye, MN. She attended country school and was united in marriage on June 29, 1944, to Leo Krueger in Sleepy Eye. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Olie enjoyed gardening, traveling, knitting, and word search puzzles. Viola died on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children - Robert (Maria) Krueger, Donn (Marilyn) Krueger Jim (Connie) Krueger, David (Shirley) Krueger, Virginia Welter, Eugene (Gwen) Krueger, Frances (Fred) Hazelton, Ruth (Kevin) Williams, Sandi (Bill Bohlin) Nydam, Carol Tessmer, Mary (Herk) Johnson, Leo G. Krueger Jr., and Scott (Cindy) Krueger; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings - Sylvester Weiss, Margaret McSherry, Mary Doyle, Lillian Riebel, and Florence Current; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons-in-law - Melvin Sellner and Steve Welter; a grandson - Brooks Sellner; and brothers - Victor and Linus Weiss.
