Viola Johnson

Viola Johnson was born August 12, 1911, in Cottonwood County, Minnesota the daughter of Chris and Ida (Aune) Rongstad. She was married to Floyd Gibson, Paul Timm, and Laren Johnson. Viola was the oldest member of the Lamberton American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She was a former Good Citizen of Redwood County and enjoyed gardening, dancing, and playing cards. Viola died Thursday, December 25, 2012, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton. She is survived by son Dennis and wife Sandy Gibson of Apple Valley; daughter Darlene Hedman of Lamberton; daughter-in-law Betty Gibson of Peoria, AZ; step-children- Leeanne (Dean) Jorgensen of St. Cloud and their family, and Loren (Annette) Johnson of Texas and their family; grandchildren- Keith Hedman, David Gibson, Kate Janzen, Laurie Gilles, and Meg Hatton; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands- Floyd Gibson, Paul Timm, and Lawrence Johnson; and son Bruce Gibson.
