Verna Grausam

Verna Toddy Amanda Grausam was born March 21, 1917 in Sanborn Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Ebert and Mollie (Trapp) Albertson. Toddy married Vince P. Grausam on October, 14, 1937 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, MN. She worked for the Springfield Veterinarian Clinic for 29 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. Toddy was a very active member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield and was a Girl Scout Leader for 20 years. She enjoyed selling Mary Kay products and volunteering at St. Raphael's Catholic School. Toddy also enjoyed making crafts, stamping cards, reading, gardening, spending time and visiting with family and friends. Toddy died on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her daughter- Nancy and husband James Beutz of Mankato; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a son-in-law - Milo Veenstra of Clements; and a sister Rosella Sally Bauman of Clara City. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband - Vince; daughters - Mary in infancy and Audrey Veenstra; brothers - Arnie, Iver, Bert, and Kermit Albertson; sisters - Elsie Lamp, Sena Trebesch, and Rhoda Trebesch.
