Verene Cosper

Verene Cosper was born September 22, 1913 in Bloomington,IL, the daughter of Floyd and Mildred (Love) Gunckel. She attended and graduated from high school in Illinois. She married Clark Banker in 1937 in Illinois and later in 1947 she married Wilson Cosper and continued to live in Illinois. Following the death of Wilson, she moved to California and in March of 1999 to Mankato and in November of 1996 she became a resident at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. Verence M. Cosper died on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Home at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her sister - Betty and husband Charles Moore of California; a niece - Lorna Homberg of New Ulm; a nephew - Kevin McDowell of St. Paul; and a step grand niece - Lynn Johnson of Springfield. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilson Cosper and a sister - June McDowell.
