Vera Mae Kintzi was born in St. James on February 24, 1930 to parents Albert and Marie (Knudson) Kintzi. She grew up in St. James and graduated from St. James High School. She then received her teaching degree from Mankato Teachers College and taught for six years at LaSalle school. She was united in marriage to Harold Rossbach on September 2, 1955 at Albion Lutheran Church. The couple made thier home in Albin Twp. Vera devoted her life to her family, raising her children and caring and babysitting grandchildren. Vera was active in the family business, Rossbach Lakeside Seed. She was active in her church as a sunday school teacher, bible study leader and prepared readings, she loved teaching. She was involved in her community, she was an advocate of the Godahl Stoor and little red school, ladies aid, and prepared welcome baskets. She loved to cook, she entertained friend and family whenever possible. She enjoyed her time spent quilting, writing poetry and reading. Vera Rossbach passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye, MN, she was 76 years old. Vera was preceded in death by her infant son, Thomas James and her parents. She is survived by her husabnd Harold Rossbach of rural Hanska, children, Karen (Mosenden) and her husband Mike McAreavey of Crooks, SD, Diane (Mosenden) and Steve Schertz of El Paso, IL, Jill and Steve Hanson of Apple Valley, Wayne and Gwen Rossbach of rural Hanska, Doug and Mary Rossbach of rural Hanska, Nancy and David Drummer of Mankato, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a brother Eldon and Goldie Kintzi of rural St. James.
