Troy Douglas Westman

Troy Westman, age 52, died at his home in St. James on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Graveside services will be 11am, Monday, October 15, 2018 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James with Rev. Kathleen Ulland-Klinkner officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James at 10:30am before going to the cemetery. Troy Douglas Westman was born in Madelia on December 19, 1965 the son of Douglas and Dianne (Baarson) Westman. Troy grew up in St. James and graduated from St. James High School in 1984. He then attended the carpentry program at the vo-tech in Jackson. Troy drove truck for various companies and also farmed. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls and car races with his boys. He also enjoyed attending their sporting events and other family events. He also enjoyed cooking and caring for animals. He loved spending time visiting with family and friends. Troy is survived by his sons; Ryan (Harley) Westman of Ormsby, Tyler Westman of St. James, his father Doug Westman of St. James, sister Tracey (Chad) Gronewold of St. James and nephew and niece Matt Westman and Emily Gronewold of St. James, uncles, aunts and cousins.
