Timothy E. Malott, 68, of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed peacefully on October 20, 2026, at his home surrounded by his wife, June; son, Andrew; and daughter, Kathryn, "Katie".
A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James, Minnesota. Burial will take place at Long Lake Lutheran Cemetery in rural Saint James.
Tim was born on March 29, 1958, in Saint James, Minnesota, to Elden and Sharon Malott. He spent his grade school years in Saint James before moving with his family to Little Falls, where he continued his education and graduated from Little Falls Community High School. Tim earned his Associate of Arts degree from Willmar Community College before continuing his education at Saint Cloud State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business.
Tim married June, his beloved wife of 45 years, and together they made their home in Stillwater, Minnesota. They raised two children, a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Kathryn "Katie". Tim dedicated 30 years of his career to serving as a corrections officer at MCF-Oak Park Heights before retiring. He continued to work for the bus companies of School District 834 and volunteered to deliver meals to the schools during the covid crisis. Tim also enjoyed working as a motor coach driver, a role that allowed him to travel throughout the country, meet people from all walks of life, and experience a variety of cultures and communities along the way.
Tim and June shared a love of adventure and the outdoors. They enjoyed camping, fishing, attending their children's sporting events, and taking trips together as a family. They also explored many adventures together, including cycling, sailing (earning their Captain's and Charter certificates), and hiking the Grand Canyon, which they accomplished three times.
Above all, Tim cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He treasured being surrounded by his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many dear friends. He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved pets, including Frost. The memories made with those he loved most were among his greatest joys.
Tim is survived by his wife, June; son, Andrew; and daughter, Kathryn, "Katie". He was preceded in death by parents, Elden and Sharon, and brother, Barry.
Tim will be missed by all.
