Timothy James Brennan, age 57, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, May 23, 2008 at his home. Timothy James Brennan was born on November 12, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Harold Bud Faith (Mory) Brennan. He grew up and attended school in Richfield, MN. After graduating he worked as an auto mechanic for a few years, later moving to Springfield, MN where he worked in law enforcement and attended Alex Technical School for Law Enforcement Training. Tim worked for the Springfield Police Department from July of 1973 until November of 1975. He married Carol Weber on September 23, 1972. Tim worked for the Brown County Sheriff's Department from November of 1975 until January of 2007. He was first hired as a Deputy Sheriff, later promoted to Chief Deputy in March of 1994 and served as Brown County Sheriff from January of 2003 until January of 2007. Tim was united in marriage to Sharon Dugstad on January 1, 2008 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye. Tim was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm, the Lion's Club, Sleepy Eye Golf Club and the MN Sheriff's Assoc. He enjoyed golfing, reading, gardening, working in the lawn, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, having coffee with friends and especially spending time with family. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Brennan of Sleepy Eye, daughter, Heather (Steven) Hawkins of Fairmont, MN, son, Jeremy (Kelly) Brennan of New Ulm, step-children, Douglas Watson of Korea, Stephanie (Matt) of Mankato, 5 grandchildren, Molly Megan Hawkins, Lily, Alec Ava Brennan, 1 step-grandchild, Luke Newman, mother, Faith Brennan of Minneapolis, sisters, Shawna (Terry) Lee of Dallas, TX, Lisa (Ralph J.R.) Blumer of Duluth, brother-in-law, Patrick Rerah of Minneapolis and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Brennan and sister, Rene'e Rerah.
