Tim Michael Ibberson

Tim Ibberson, age 69, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Veterans Home in Luverne, Minnesota. A family service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Home Cemetery Veterans section in Sleepy Eye. Military honors will be provided by Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com. Memorials in honor of Tim can be made to the Sleepy Eye VFW Post 800 or the Veterans Home in Luverne.

Tim was born on June 18, 1955, to Tom and Yvonne (Fischer) Ibberson in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Tim enlisted in the United States Navy at the young age of 17.  Being so young, he was nicknamed “Peaches” by his fellow sailors. Tim proudly served on the USS Fanning and patrolled along the shores of Vietnam. After serving his country, he worked at Ford and Del Monte as a mechanic.

Tim is survived by his brother, Joel (Lori) of Alexandria; sister-in-law, Pattie of Sleepy Eye; nieces, Jen (Brian) McCormack, Anne (Ryan) Helget, Jessie Fuller, and Sarah (Kyle) Keene; and nephew, Jeremy (Carolyn) Ibberson. Tim is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Vonnie; brother, Scott (Droopy); his niece’s spouse, Mike; and many aunts and uncles.
