Thomas Trapp

Thomas Henry Trapp was born on July 19, 1945 in Springfield, MN to Ernest and Alvina Trapp. He graduated from Sanborn High School in 1963. While in high school, Thomas joined the Navy Reserve and was in active duty with the U.S. Navy from 1963-1965. Returning from the navy he worked in St Paul at the airport as a mechanic for a few years. Thomas returned to Sanborn and worked in construction for Hogan and Trebesch Construction company. He went into farming north of Sanborn for many years, retired from farming in the mid 80's, then served as the chief of police in Sanborn. After a long career being chief of police in Sanborn, he took a position at Jackpot Junction for Chief of Security. In the late 80s, he went to work for M.R. paving and excavating company driving dump truck for them until the present time. During this time, Thomas went to Willmar Community College and graduated in 1992. He was a life time member of the Zion Lutheran Church and an active member of the American Legion in Sanborn. Thomas was also very dedicated in deer hunting with his family and friends. He was united in marriage to Connie Albertson in 1967 until that marriage was dissolved. He married Darlene Mude on June 29, 1996 at St John's Lutheran Church in Springfield MN. Thomas passed away on November 17, 2014 at St Cloud Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Darlene Trapp of Sanborn; sons- Jon and wife Sheri Trapp and their children Jake, Nick, and Abby of Elkhorn, NE, Jason and wife Jen Trapp and their children Jazmyn, Deanna, Angelik and Cassidy of Jordan, and Jared and wife Amanda Trapp and their child Taylor of Menomonie,WI; daughter Lisa and special friend Christian and their children Blake, Brandon and Bentley of Alexandria; and brother Ernest Trapp, Jr. of Lamberton.
