Thomas Joseph Schroepfer

Thomas Joseph Schroepfer, age 78 of Mankato, Minnesota, formerly of Sleepy Eye, peacefully gained his angel wings on Thursday, May 8, 2025, surrounded by those who cared for him. Burial will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 9:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Tom was born to Albert and Myrtle Schroepfer on August 31, 1946. He grew up in Sleepy Eye and worked at his parents' Ben Franklin store until he moved to a group home New Ulm, Minnesota. Tom worked at MRCI in New Ulm for over 30 years. In 2015, Tom moved to a new group home with Harry Meyering Center in Mankato, Minnesota.

Tom enjoyed the little things in life like getting Burger King, having his daily Mountain Dew, and above all else, watching The Golden Girls (especially Blanche). He had a remarkable ability to recognize people he had not seen for a long time and remember their name. His smile and warm greetings were infectious and adored by all.

Tom is survived by his brother, Gary Schroepfer of Sherman, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John.
