Theresia Fischer

A Christian Mothers Rosary will be at 4:oopm, Sunday at the Funeral Home. Theresia Dorothy Rosenstengel was born on the family farm in Mulligan Township, near Leavenworth, Minnesota on October 20, 1932, the daughter of Katherina (Neid) and Joseph Rosenstengel. Theresia grew up and attended country school in the Leavenworth area. On October 22, 1953, Theresia was united in marriage to Wilbert Otto Fischer in Leavenworth. The couple made their home near Evan then Sanborn prior to moving to St. James in 1957. The couple enjoyed concertina music, square dancing and old time dance. Theresia loved to crochet, do ceramics, feed and watch the birds on the farm. She has been active in the Catholic Church where she belong to several circles and the sewing mission. Theresia Fischer, age 76, of St. James died on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter Brianna Bryan, brother and a sister. Theresia is survived by her children and their spouses, Kevin Monica Fischer of St. James, Galen Roxanne Fischer of St. James, Renee Wade Bryan of Hutchinson, Rick Carol Fischer of St. James, Craig Rose Fischer of St. James, nine grandchildren, Jason Fischer, Aaron Fischer, Teri Fischer, Jeff Fischer, Dustin Bryan, Katie Bryan, Joe Fischer, Stacy Fischer, Amanda Fischer, two step-grandchildren, Stephanie Prange and Alexander Prange.
