Theresa Rooney

On September 24, 1944, Theresa Colette was born to Joseph Raymond and Marjorie Eva (nee Wallace) Eustice in Albert Lea. In 1962, she graduated from Waldorf High School and on October 6th, Theresa married Raymond Pete Rooney at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf. They lived in California for 7 years, returning to Minnesota in 1971. Besides caring for their children, Theresa managed the American Legion Post 19 in Madelia. Later, she worked 15 years at Luther Memorial Home. She enjoyed reading, camping, and meeting with friends at the Triangle Caf. Theresa was an excellent cook who enjoyed baking, especially for the holidays. She also liked to go all-out when decorating for the holidays. She loved doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed making their favorite dishes. Theresa is survived by her husband, Raymond Pete, children: Colette (Bruce) Johnson, LaSalle, Ann (Jerry) Rigney, Luverne, Peggy (Keith) Wright, LaSalle, Marjorie (Dave) Smith, Fort Wayne, IN, Donna (Steve) Schroer, Worthington, Kristy (Ed) Ruter, Madelia, Kim (Brandon) Dougherty, Odin, and Brandon (Jordan Lawson) Rooney, Madelia, brothers: Greg Eustice, Whittier, CA, Steve Eustice, Waseca, Douglas (Connie) Eustice, Waldorf, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Eva Eustice, infant daughter, Laura, sister, Shirley Sutherland, and one grandson, Michael Ruter.
