Theodore Mueller

Theodore (Ted) Mueller, age 89, of Madelia, died on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato, MN. Memorial services will be 11:00am, Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia with Rev. Bruce Bringle officiating. Military Honor will be provided by the Madelia Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Madelia. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Theodore (Ted) Mueller was born August 12, 1922 at Burnstad, North Dakota. The son of Henry and Emelia (Gall) Mueller. Ted graduated from Wishek High School and attended Jamestown College. He served in the military during WWII from 1942 to 1946. Upon returning from the service, he was united in marriage to Ruby Rose Zottnick on June 11, 1950, at Edgeley, ND. Ted and Ruby raised their 6 children at Jamestown and Stanley, ND, before moving to Waseca in 1968 and then in 1973 to Madelia, MN, where Ted and Ruby still reside. Ted was employed at various careers; he was an office manager at General Motors Corp. and the Jamestown State Hospital both in Jamestown,ND, and the administrator at the Waseca Community Hospital and Luther Memorial Nursing Home until his retirement. Ted's interests included mowing his lawn (Ted's yard never had any weeds), loved music and dancing. He loved watching the Lawrence Welk show and dancing Saturday nights. He enjoyed playing the accordian and piano. He loved his children and grandchildren rarely missed his kids activities while they were growing up. He was also an avid follower of the Twin, Vikings and Timberwolves. Ted is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Rose Mueller of Madelia, 6 children, Timothy (Betty) Mueller of St. Michael, Gary (Carol) Mueller of Erie, CO, Lynn (Harry) Wolf of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert (Debra) Mueller of Inver Grove Heights, Debra Mueller of Mankato and Patricia (Dan) Kirchner of North Mankato, 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and infant sibling, 6 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law. Memorial may be made to the charity of ones choice.
