Theodore 'Ted' Mason

Ted Mason was born on March 26, 1954 the son of Walter and Cecelia (Boegemann) in South St. Paul. He graduated from Park Rapids High School and then later technical school for carpentry. He served in the National Guard for 4 years. Ted and Susan (Crook) were joined together through marriage on October 23, 1976 in Park Rapids. He was employed at Pamida for 4 years which brought the family to Sleepy Eye. After Pamida closed he worked at Sanborn Manufacturing as a welder until his health forced him to retire. He was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy in 2011. Ted enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, traveling, watching sports, playing cards especially cribbage, wood working, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye where he shared his Catholic faith with his family. Ted is survived by his wife Susan, children, Amber (Greg) Perzinski of Aurora, Co, Sarah (Adam) Groebner of Springfield, Alison (Jason) Noordmans of Monticello, 11 grandchildren, father in law, James Crook of Park Rapids, siblings, Dick (Barb) Mason, Lawrence (Karen) Mason, Lois (Dan) Miotke, and Helen Mason all of South St. Paul, Ruthie (Ed) Stule of Cottage Grove, Beanie Thomas and Generose (Philip) Keller of Inner Grove Heights, and Tony (Diane) Mason of Wyoming. He is preceded in death by his parents, mother in law, Ruth (Town) Crook, sister, Mary (Robert) Jirik, and sister-in-law, Jan Mason.
