Prior Mountain Lake resident Theodore Lepp, 99, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Galt, California. Ted was born November 7, 1912 to John and Katherina (Derksen) Lepp in Cottonwood County. He received his education at a county school and later attended Bible School in Mountain Lake. He was baptized at the Carson Mennonite Brethren Church, where he married Mary Ewert on December 18, 1940. They were married for 57 years before her passing in 1997. Ted was a farmer and welder in Carson Township until 1967, when they moved to Sacramento, California. In Sacramento he worked as a cabinet maker. They returned to Mountain Lake in 1992. In November 2010 his son Loren and daughter-in-law Marcia opened their home to him where he lived until his death. He was an expert cabin maker and enjoyed making various wood clocks and other wood objects. Ted is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Marilyn and John Niessen of Princeton, MN and Carolyn and Stephen Lessing of Sacramento, CA; two sons: Orville "Butch" and Loren and his wife, Marcia, all of Galt, CA. There are also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; his daughter and son-in-law Vera and David Mac Donald; five brothers and four sisters.
