Thelma Vollmer

Thelma Margareta Brosnan was born on March 11, 1921 the daughter of Patrick Lila (Schmidt) Brosnan. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1939. She married Armin Vollmer on April 26, 1942 in Ringstad, IA. The couple was blessed with one son, Armin. Thelma enjoyed gardening and loved to work with flowers. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, playing the organ, doing crafts, especially egg decorating, cross stitching, making angels and even tried her hand at painting. Survivors include her son, Armin (Joy) Vollmer, grandchildren, Wendy (Jeff), Kim (Keith), David, and Susan (Darrel), seven great-grandchildren, step-brother, George (Pat) Rock and close friends, Diane Chuck Case and June Ken Streich. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Henry, twin brother, Myron, husband Armin in 1983 and grandson Christopher.
