Sylvia Storm

There will be a parish prayer service at 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Sylvia was born on May 8, 1919 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Thomas Margaret (Pickle) Ryan. She attended St. Mary's Schools and was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Sylvia graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1936. She worked for Pietrus from 1938 to 1945. Sylvia married Herman Storm on November 25, 1942 at St. Mary's Church during his military service. After Herman returned from the service they made their home in Sleepy Eye. In 1947 they moved to a farm north of Sleepy Eye until 1975 when they built a home in Sleepy Eye where they retired. Sylvia enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, flower gardening, playing cards and traveling. Sylvia Theresa Storm, 88, of Sleepy Eye, died on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, MN. She is survived by her son, Craig (Roberta) Storm of Lebanon, NH, daughter, Alexis (Charles) Brady of Sun Lakes, AZ, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, in 1981.
