Susan Patricia Nelson

Sue was born to Burdette and Doris (Hass) Nelson on March 17, 1955.  She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden, MN.  Sue graduated from Storden-Jeffers High School in 1973.  Sue was married to Steve Neperman from 1974 to 1993.  She had two sons Christopher Steven and Matthew Howard.  She was employed at Sharpsteen’s Fairway, Farmers and Merchants Bank, Meadowland Farmer’s Co-Op, Graff Insurance, and Elevator Works, Inc.  Sue was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Lamberton Cemetery Association.  Sue enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, doing yard work, and mowing at the cemetery.  In June 2021, Sue moved to Yankton, SD to be near her sister and family.  She attended Christ the King Lutheran Church where she made many friends.

Susan Patricia Nelson died on January 12, 2023, in Yankton, SD at the age of 67.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her son Matthew, and brother-in-law Dave Bergendahl.  She is survived by her son Christopher Neperman, grandchildren - Madison and Noah, and great granddaughter Nola, sisters and brothers - Sherri Bergendahl, Nancy (Gerry) Johnson, Steve (Wanda) Nelson, Marsha (Mike) Underwood, Dave (Dawn) Nelson, and nieces and nephews.
