Susan Krenik

Susan E. Krenik, age 75, died peacefully on June 19, 2026 surrounded by her family.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Madelia, MN.

Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Madelia.

Susan (Schuldheisz) Krenik was born on January 2, 1951 in Park River, North Dakota to Jual and Erwin Schuldheisz. Her parents moved to Madelia, MN in 1954 where her father was a teacher and sports coach. Susan attended Madelia High School and graduated in 1969. She attended Mankato State College (now Minnesota State University). She met her future husband, Brad Krenik while attending college. Susan and Brad were married in the fall of 1971. They moved to the Memphis, TN area in 1976, where Brad worked as a salesman for National Poly Products. She was a loving mother and housewife during the first few years in Memphis. She also did part-time work as a very successful Avon salesperson.

Susan and Brad welcomed two sons, Michael and Ryan. After her sons were in their teens, she worked at a local Target store for many years and also became a teacher of two year old children at Faith Lutheran Church Preschool in Collierville, TN. She retired from teaching in 2023, after 30 years teaching at the school. Her interests included cooking, raising plants and flowers, watching TV movies and home decorating. Her reading interests were often civil war era romantic novels.

Susan is survived by her husband, Brad Krenik; sons, Michael and Ryan Krenik, all of Collierville, TN; sisters, Kay Peterson of Madelia, Nancy Stordahl of Menominee, WI, and brother, Mark Schuldheisz of Madelia.
