Susan Jane Klatt

Susan Jane Klatt was born on March 15, 1946 in Bertha MN. She was the daughter of Carl and Clara Nelson. On July 24, 1965 she was united in marriage to Wallace Klatt as members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia. They made their home in Madelia MN and were blessed with three children, James, Paul and Emily. They were married for over 20 years and then later divorced. She was then joined in love with her life partner Maynard "Butch" Nelson whom she shared the remainder of her life with until his death. Sue enjoyed being outside gardening, sewing, playing the organ, drawing, eating out with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She was employed at Ryter Printing and the Madelia movie theatre in her recent years. Susan passed away on Saturday March 14 2020 in her home at the age of 73 years. Blessed be her memory. Susan is survived by her children, James (Karen) Klatt, Paul Klatt, and Emily (Kurt) Zehnder; grandchildren, Jennessa, Kallyssa Klatt, Cody, Madison, Jadah and Payton Zehnder, Cole and Carly Klatt; siblings: Elaine (Alden) Hageman, Margie (Roger) Bluhm, Ronald "Buddy" Nelson Judy (Russell) Nelson, Bruce (Barbara) Nelson and Rick (Peggy) Nelson. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Carl and Clara Nelson and siblings, Darrel Nelson, Bernie Nelson and Carla Mador. A private memorial service for immediate family only will be held on Friday, a public service will be held at a later date to be determined.
