Steven Matter

Steven Lawrence Matter was born March 31, 1948, to Frank and Hannah (Pfarr) Matter in Springfield, MN. He attended St. Raphael Catholic School and Springfield High School. Steve helped on the family farm, worked at Och's Brickyard and Salonek's and also worked with his brother Frank, Jr. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and the Teamsters Union. Steve enjoyed fixing things and being outdoors. Steven Lawrence Matter died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, MN at the age of 58 years. He is survived by his brother - Frank and wife Arlene Matter, Jr. of New Ulm, MN; sisters - Bethel Heiderscheidt of Spicer, Joyce Ourada of Belview, Monica and husband Dean Stenzel of Heron Lake, MN, Paulette and John Haag of Bemidji, MN, Janel Matter of Springfield, Kathryn and Jeff Baune of Vesta; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother James; and brother-in-law David Heiderscheidt.
