Steven C. Johnson

Steve Johnson passed away April 20, 2022, at the age of 57 years old. He will be dearly missed as a brother, uncle, work associate and a great friend to many. Steve was born on February 28, 1965, in Comfrey, MN, the son of Harold and Elin Johnson. He graduated from Comfrey High School in 1983. Steve was employed with Sanborn Manufacturing, Acme Brick & Tile as well as seasonal work for the Anderson family in Springfield, MN, throughout his entire adult life. Steves family and friends were the most meaningful to him. He doted on his parents which allowed them to live at home during their golden years under his care. His kind, empathetic and respectful manner earned him friends wherever he went. He was a gentle man. He proudly attended weddings, graduations, sporting events, memorials, and other moments of both small and great community significance. His loyal attention confirmed that his community was important to him. Steve loved his role woven into the fabric of Comfrey and Springfield. He is survived by his siblings, Gene (Concei) Nelson of Mason City, IA, Douglas (Mary) Johnson of Broomfield, CO, Diane (Michael Walker) Britto of Lafayette, CA, and Donovan Johnson of Comfrey. He leaves behind nieces and nephews, Shannon Wilcox, Garrett Johnson, Mitchell Britto, Emily Kauffmann, and Gene Nelson, Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elin Johnson.
