Steven Marlow Chute

Steven "Cheetah" Marlow Chute age 73, of Madelia, MN, died on April 8, 2024, at his home.

Services will be held at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, Hanska, MN, on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 10:30 am. Visitation be from 9:30-10:30am at the church.

The clergy will be Ralph Flitter. Interment will be at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Cemetery in Hanska.

Steven "Cheetah" Marlow Chute was born to Marlow Sterling Chute and Irene Chute-Pooley in Madelia, MN on September 23, 1950.  He attended a one room schoolhouse in La Salle, MN until a new school was built in La Salle.  Steven was confirmed at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church in 1966. In 1968, he graduated from St James High School and then attended Technical College in Mankato for auto body repair. He went into partnership at Countryside Auto Body in 1971.  Steven married Jeanna Goode on April 10, 1981.  Steven lived on the family farm most of his life and raised champion Yorkshire hogs as a kid. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and cars.  He won several trophies at the Anoka Drag Ship with his "souped up" 1969 Mustang.   He loved spending time with his friends and was known by many as the life of the party. He was a wonderful father and will be dearly missed.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Jennifer "Jen" Chute; wife, Jeanna Chute; sister, Geri Skarpohl; brother-in-law, Milan Skarpohl; nieces, Shannon, Stacy, Jillian; nephews, Josh and Jerrad.  He is preceded in death by his father, Marlow Chute; mother, Irene Sletta Chute-Pooley; brother, Jene (Hank) Chute; grandparents, John Petra, Julia and Edgar.
