Stacy Vanderwerf

Stacy Marie Vanderwerf was born December 17, 1969, in Osage, IA, the daughter of Michael and Cathy (Bakker) Davis. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1988 and the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1992. Despite her illness since the age of two, Stacy let nothing hold her back. She was extremely active in athletics and her strength and will were a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Stacy loved her children and husband more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them at their home on the river. She will be forever remembered and loved by those whose lives she touched. Stacy Marie Vanderwerf died Monday, February 4, 2008, at the University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 38 years. She is survived by husband- Terry of Andover; children- Zachary, Tyler, Ashley, Amber and Taylor; parents- Mike and Cathy Davis of Farmington; father-in-law and mother-in-law- Bob and Marlys Vanderwerf of Springfield; sisters- JoLynn and husband Mike Hausman of Sioux Falls, SD and Melissa and husband Derek Brandt of Rochester, MN; brothers- Brad and wife Missy Davis of Stacy, MN, Chad and special friend Deb Davis of Belle Plaine,MN, and Mikey and Amy Burns of Sheldon, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
