Sidney Lloyd Ewert

Sidney Lloyd Ewert was born on April 20, 1927 to Abram and Linda (Harder) Ewert in Dale Township, Cottonwood County, MN. On May 27, 1961 Sidney was united in marriage to Marcella Klassen at the Assembly of God Church in Windom. Sidney farmed with his dad until 1960. He was a mechanic for Penner Implement for three years and then promoted to sales and then partnership as Ewert-McDonald Inc. As of 1982, he was the manager of Midway Farm Equipment. He retired in 1998. Sidney enjoyed the challenges of fixing things, traveling and volunteering. He joined the Gideons in 1980 where he served as Secretary and Treasurer. Sidney was a member of Center Point Church in Mountain Lake. Sidney is survived by one son, Tony (Sally) Ewert, Mountain Lake; two daughters, Connie (Kenton) Moos, Dillingham, AK, Becky (Michael) Williamson, Minneapolis, MN; 6 grandchildren; one brother, Bob Ewert, Redwood Falls, MN; two sisters, Mary Breitbarth, Truman, MN and Betty Boulton, Marshall, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marcella; brothers, Cecil, Perry and Arden; and a sister, Violet.
