Shirley Sellner

Shirley Lorraine Sellner was born on October 20, 1947 in New Ulm the daughter of Linus L. and Florence C. (Braun) Helget. Shirley grew up on the family farm in Stark Township and attended school in Sleepy Eye where she lived her entire life. After graduating from St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye, she raised her family and also worked at the Divine Providence Nursing Home in Sleepy Eye and retired in 2009 after 32 years of service. She married Leon Sellner on September 21, 1968 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Shirley enjoyed shopping and spending time with family and friends. She also spent her time visiting with, attending sporting events for, and tending to her 10 grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Florence; children, Brad (Jenny) Sellner of Monticello, Randy (Sheila) Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Tammy (Jeff) Hinderman of New Ulm; grandchildren, Sam, Shawn, Jaylynn, Joslyn, Jacob, Jonah, Jack, Halle, Jace, Madden; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert Chisey and Diana Sellner.
