Shirley Pooch

Shirley Ann Pooch was born October 11, 1932, in rural Springfield, MN, the daughter of Edward and Annie (Jenkins) Schnobrich. Shirley lived in the Springfield area until moving with her parents to Lamberton at the age of 16. She was united in marriage to George Pooch on September 29, 1949, in Lamberton. Shirley worked at the Springfield Creamery, as a waitress, and taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Lamberton Church of Christ, the Ladies Aid, American Legion Auxiliary, and bowled for various teams. Shirley enjoyed gardening, fishing, crossword puzzles, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed making doll dresses, reading, crafts, re-finishing furniture, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Shirley A. Pooch, age 75 of Lamberton died on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Seasons Hospice in Redwood Falls, MN. She is survived by husband- George; son- Brian; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother- Robert Schnobrich; and sister- Betty McGuire.
