Shirley Lorene Hagen

Shirley Lorene Hagen was born on October 23, 1935 to Lenard "Lenny" and Wilma (Hegna) Redmond. Shirley graduated high school in 1954, and worked at Schmidt's Bakery in St. James. She married her beloved Sanford Hagen on October 17, 1987 and moved to rural Godahl. Shirley enjoyed gardening and flowers, fishing, pow-wow's, and afternoon drives with her pug. She loved Tae-kwon-do and was a recommended black belt. She was an amazing seamstress, and loved quilting. Her favorite times were the one spent with her family! We were greeted at the door with lots of love, hugs and kisses. And no one ever left on an empty stomach. Shirley passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester Minnesota. She was 81. She was preceded in death by her husband Sanford Hagen, her parents Lenard "Lenny" and Wilma Redmond, her brothers, Lee Redmond and Daryl Redmond. Shirley is survived by her children, Valerie Sargent, Lenny and Salome Sargent, Lisha Westman, Michelle and Tony Dunn, and Cathy Sargent Hauer. Her grandchildren, Sarah Moreno, Matthew Dunn, Jessica Frederikson, Ethan Hauer, Melissa Westman, Mark Dunn, Lydia Sargent, and Diana Sargent. Great grand-children, David, Ashanti, Christian, Aaden, Kinley, Sophia, and Lincoln. Sister in law, Ella Dean Anderson, and Dorothy Redmond.
