Sharry Rambo

Sharry Kay Rambo, age 52, of Vernon Center, went to meet her Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Sharry was born on June 20, 1959, the daughter of Melvin and Elizabeth Betty (Rooney) Miller. She was baptized July 20, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia, and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church on April 30, 1972, where she has been a member ever since. She grew up in Madelia where she attended Madelia Public Schools; graduating from High School in 1977. Sharry married Scot Ahern in 1977, they lived in Madelia and Lake Crystal, and later divorced. Sharry was united in marriage to James Rambo on October 2, 2004. They resided in Mankato and rural Vernon Center. Sharry was a self-employed insurance agent for 20 years. Sharry enjoyed camping, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, canning, gardening and cooking. She especially loved watching her sons play baseball as well as traveling to ball games. She loved cheering on the Vikings, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Rambo; sons, Justin (Melissa) Ahern, Jonathon Ahern, and Jeremy (Amy) Ahern; step-daughters, Rita, Debbie, and Stephanie Rambo; grandchildren, Jenica, Mason, Carter, Adeline, Garrett, Brielle, Justin, and Jackson; her father, Melvin Miller (and special friend Lola Johnson); father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Nancy Rambo; brothers, Joseph Miller and Mitch (Jane) Miller; sister-in-laws, Linda Parsons, Yvonne Bergemann (Terry Henry) and Linette (Brian) Irvine; brother-in-laws, Mike (Patsy) Rambo, Dennis (Cheryl) Rambo; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Sharry was preceded in death by mother, Elizabeth Betty Miller; brother-in-law, Steven Rambo; and her grandparents.
