Scott "Droop" Ibberson, age 70, of rural Sleepy Eye, MN died on October 22, 2021, at University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Scott Thomas was born on October 1, 1951, in Sleepy Eye to Thomas Henry & Yvonnne Maureen (Fischer) Ibberson. Scott who most people knew as "Droop" grew up in Sleepy Eye, MN and graduated from Sleepy Eye - St. Mary's. After high school, Scott became an avid motorcycle rider with his friends. In his early 20's he purchased his first Harley Davidson. After meeting Pattie in high school they went their separate ways only to later cross paths when he drove up to Pattie's house. In April of 1978, he married Pattie Gentz the love of his life. Over the next 8 years he became a GIRL DAD of 3 beautiful daughters...and would do anything to make them the center of his universe. After the girls were in elementary school, he started his career as an over the road truck driver. He took each of the girls on adventures across the United States while delivering loads from coast to coast. Scott had his home away from home in the Seattle area with family. Scott loved wandering through antique shops and flea markets hoping to find someone else's treasures. In 2015, Scott retired from driving truck to focus on his health. In December of 2017 Scott received a liver transplant at the University of MN. After a speedy recovery, he spent his time with his family and especially his 5 grandchildren. In retirement he spent time mowing the lawn, tinkering in his shop, and taking his dogs for rides in the side by side. His dogs and grand dogs brought him great joy. They loved the constant treats, attention, and belly rubs. During the winter months, Scott and Pattie drove down to sunny Florida where they drove up and down the coast on their motorcycle. He spent the summers at a campground in central MN dragging pool toys to and from the pool with his grandkids. If you ever overheard him talking to his daughters and grandkids it always ended in "I Love You More". Scott passed away at the University of MN hospital surrounded by his family.
