Sarah Marie Snyder

Sarah Marie Snyder, age 55, of Burien, WA, formerly of Madelia, MN, died suddenly on September 29, 2023, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home, Madelia Chapel on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

The clergy will be Fr. Timothy Hall. Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Madelia.

Sarah Marie Snyder was born to John and Madelyn (Hankins) Snyder on July 12, 1968 in Madelia, MN. She grew up on a family farm west of Madelia.  Sarah attended St. Mary’s Elementary and graduated from Madelia High School in 1986. She went on to study at the College of Saint Benedict. Sarah moved to Alaska to work on a fishing boat, an early dream of hers, and continued on to United Airlines, where she was able to explore her love of traveling. Most recently, she worked as a payroll clerk at Costco where she had held several positions over the years.

Sarah is remembered for her excellent cooking, love of family, and a love of cats. She enjoyed planning events, having games nights, and exploring new places.

Sarah is survived by her siblings, Daniel (Rhonda) Snyder of Kasson, Nathan Snyder of Minneapolis, and Keith (Stacy) Snyder of North Mankato, as well as her nieces, Camille and Ivy and nephew, Rhiley.  Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Madelyn Snyder.
