Sally Joan Jass

Sally Joan Jass age 79, of Mountain Lake, MN died on February 6, 2016, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lakefield, MN after a battle with cancer. Sally Joan Schultz the daughter of Lyal and Ida (Hulin) Schultz was born on September 14, 1936 on the home farm in Enterprize Township, Jackson County. She grew up and attended country school and graduated from Jackson High School in 1954. After graduating she attended school in Minneapolis and worked at an insurance company until her marriage. Sally was united in marriage to Robert Carl Jass on August 1, 1971 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple made their home in Mountain Lake area. She worked several years in housekeeping at the Good Samaritan Village. Sally was in a softball league, bowling league and enjoyed baking, canning, cooking, shopping, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her Famous Dill Pickles enjoyed by all. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Mountain Lake, step-son, Eric (Shelly) Jass of Concrete, WA, daughter, Stefanie (Scott) Sorenson of Brewster and son, Robert, Jr. of Mountain Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, grand parents, sister Myrna Schultz and brother, Roger and wife Jean.
