Ryu Pena

Ryu Pena, age 4, St. James, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00pm, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the St. James Catholic Church in St. James with Father Miguel Proaosas celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in St. James. Visitation will be Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James from 4-7pm and continue at the church one hour before Mass on Thursday. Ryu Sevastian Pena was born on October 21, 2012 at 2:57 a.m in Odessa TX. On that day an angel was born. After overcoming some medical complications in the first 6 months of life we were finally able to see him enjoy life. From that point on it was nothing but big smiles, bigger hugs and super imaginative stories. If it wasn't his smile that won you over it was definitely his personality. Always there to help out any and all those that he could. Ryu was very charismatic and adventurous boy who's love shone thru his eyes and his smile. He will forever be in our hearts thoughts and memories. Ryu is survived by; Parents: Denise P. Gonzalez, Shane S. Pena, siblings: Glory S. Pena, Rolando Jr. Cuevas, grandparents: Julia Gonzalez, Nolberto Gonzalez, Richard K. Pena, Cindy Pena, Great Grandparents: Juana Govea, Teresa Chavez, Jesse Tarango, Gloria Tarango, Aunt/Uncle: Nolberto Jr. Gonzalez, Danielle N. Gonzalez, Great Aunt/Uncle: Melissa Tarango, Jesse Tarango, Kristy Saenz.
