Ruth Falk

Ruth Ann Falk was born May 5, 1941, in Springfield, MN, the daughter of Robert and Phyllis (Ernst) Arnold. She graduated from Lamberton High School in 1959, and furthered her education in Granite Falls. Ruth was united in marriage to Richard Falk on July 2, 1971, in Brookings, SD. She worked for the State of Minnesota at the Department of Education before leaving to work as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for several years. Ruth also worked for the Springfield School District in many areas and Midland Harvestland. She semi-retired in 2000, and moved to Flandreau, SD. Ruth was a former member of the Springfield United Methodist Church and a current member of the Flandreau United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and shopping off QVC. Ruth especially enjoyed razzing her children and spending time with her grandchildren. Ruth Ann Falk died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 67 years. She is survived by children- Lisa and husband Greg Juenemann of Clements, Amy Wacek and fiance' Ken Winn of rural Redwood Falls, and David Falk of Morgan; grandchildren- Amanda, Andrew and Ashley Juenemann, Derek and Dustin Wacek, and Conner, Reece and Ryan Winn; brothers- Dennis Arnold of Lamberton and Gene (Jeanette) Arnold of Flandreau; sister- Linda Arnold of Brookings; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Richard in 1993.
